Lorch joined Wydad in January and became regular feature in the team, which included some impressive displays at the FIFA Club World Cup against Manchester City and Juventus.
However, According to Kooora, Wydad have pulled out of negotiations to sign the 31-year-old attacker.
The report claims that the Morrcans were unable to agree with Sundowns' asking price for Lorch, which is believed to be $1 million (around R20 million).
Wydad, meanwhile, have wasted no time in finding an alternative as Kooora report that the club are set to sign Congolese Joseph Bakaso from AS Maniema Union.
The Moroccan outfit are still looking to trim the squad before the new starts, with the foreign quota set to be the main agenda.
