Mamelodi Sundowns star Matias Esquivel’s ride in Argentina has seemingly been revealed, and it also appears that the player pimped up his vehicle during his recent loan spell. Here’s a look.
The story
Esquivel was said to have been the most expensive signing in PSL history at the time of his arrival in January 2024 from CA Talleres.

The 26-year-old joined for a fee of €2.3 million (approximately R47 million), which prompted lofty expectations of the player.
However, things are yet to work out for him on the pitch, and at the beginning of last season, he was sent out on loan back to Talleres.
It appears that Esquivel also used this period, between August 2024 and January 2025, to make some upgrades to his metallic grey Volkswagen Amarok.
An Argentine auto service company, Crazy Detail, posted images on Instagram revealing that Esquivel had brought in his car for some enhancements.
The company confirmed that they had enhanced the Amarok with a full grille wrap, mirror wrap, and a rear bumper wrap.
It is not clear whether he had this vehicle transported to South Africa upon his return from loan.
