Bucs pre-season camp immediately heats up in Spain

Orlando Pirates have not wasted time following their arrival in Spain as their pre-season activities get underway. Let's take a closer look.

The story

The South African powerhouse flew to Spain on Tuesday for as they gear up for their pre-season, where they will have a 12-day camp.

Pirates will have a series of high-intensity friendlies in Marbella, where they will face off against English side Bolton FC, followed by a match with Cypriot champions Pafos FC.

More so, the Abdeslam Ouaddou-led side will also clash against Las Palmas, before concluding with a test against Granada on July 19.

The Sea Robbers have signed several players, including Sipho Mbule and Oswin Appollis, as they beef up their squad ahead of the new campaign.

Pirates assistant coach Mandla Ncikazi has outlined how they plan to spend their time in Spain.

"We have just arrived in Spain after a long flight. Today is about recovery, but from tomorrow it's all systems go," Ncikazi told the club's media department.

"The upcoming season will be tough, so our preparation must cover all possible scenarios.

"We have a new crop of players that we need to integrate into the group as quickly as possible."
