New job, new whip for Hunt at DBN City

It now appears that things couldn’t have gone any better for coach Gavin Hunt, who now has an impressive BMW at his disposal thanks to his new job at Durban City FC. Here's a look.

The Story

On Tuesday, newly promoted Betway Premiership side Durban City announced Supertech Group as the club's official vehicle partner ahead of the 2025/26 season.

Impressively, the KwaZulu-Natal outfit also confirmed that their technical staff would receive the keys to some of these German machines, including the BMW 320i, which costs around R719,921, according to BMW South Africa.

In a statement posted on Facebook, Durban City said: "As part of the agreement, the Supertech Group will supply a fleet of premium vehicles to support the Club's transport and operational needs, whilst jointly engaging in marketing and community development initiatives."

The club chairman, Farook Kadodia, added: "We are thrilled to welcome the Supertech Group into the Durban City FC Family.

"Their reputation for delivering quality and service aligns perfectly with our club's ambitions on and off the pitch.

"This partnership will enhance the mobility of our team and staff while opening exciting possibilities for joint projects that benefit our supporters and the broader Durban community."

In Hunt’s case, it’s certainly not a bad start to life at Durban City — especially after his recent heartfelt farewell to SuperSport United, following their sale of Betway Premiership status to Siwelele FC.
