Stellenbosch confirmed the signing of former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Darrel Matsheke, as the Winelands club continue to bolster Steve Barker's squad following Sibongiseni "Ox" Mthethwa's departure.
Matsheke joins on a free transfer following the end of his deal with the Glamour Boys, having spent the previous campaign with Moroka Swallows on loan.
Barker says Matsheke adds quality and depth to their midfield ranks and praised his technique that he says comes with lots of energy and intensity.
Here's how the readers reacted to the "Stellenbosch sign former Chiefs midfielder" story:
"What happened with Thibedi? [Matsheke's ex-teammate at Chiefs], I know with football sometimes one has to be very patient to get to the top.
"That boy is a very talented football player. I hope he keeps his head up wherever he is now to make sure he comes back to the PSL really strong. Good move for Matsheke, he will grow very quickly at Stellies," says khothakhosi.
"For Thibedi, I blame Baxter. Thibedi's return from Loan after helping Swallows acquire PSL Status coincided with the arrival of Stuart Baxter and the boy was sent back to Swallows, very sad," says mthunzikjack7.
"Good player this boy," says Mapfulandlelaa.
"Very good player indeed, I remember him in that three-man Kaizer Chiefs Diski Challenge midfield with him, Given Thibedi and Mshini [Nkosingiphile] Ngcobo," recalls mthunzijack7.

Kaizer Chiefs head coach Molefi Ntseki has expressed his concerns over Kaizer Chiefs' attack this season.
Chiefs' goals this season have either come from their wingers or the midfield, with Christian Saile, Ashley Du Preez and Pule Mmodi scoring five altogether in the league so far.
New strikers Ranga Chivaviro and Efmamjjasond Gonzalez are yet to get onto the scoresheet, with Ntseki saying he's just worried about his team not scoring.
Ntseki admits that the missing puzzle in their game is not goals and reiterates that the responsibility of scoring shouldn't solely fall to the forwards.
Here's how the readers reacted to the "Ntseki speaks out on his worries at Chiefs..." story:
"Get rid of marathon soccer, then your worries will be something of the past," says ngwanamoshate.70.
"Even when we lose, we're winning... eat that, haters," says Mokaubere.
"Chiefs has messed up with your way of reasoning," replies Eau De Parfum.
"They talk too much these ones, they must just plan for next season because this campaign, they must forget about winning any cup," says Tekenya wale downs.
"By the looks of things, they don't practice set-plays. When you fail to score from open play, you work harder to improve on set-pieces. You don't just hope for miracles.
"But when you struggle to defend set-pieces and crosses, you are just hopeless. It is much easier defending them than scoring from them," says siyaz.
"And you don't realize that you have no creativity and that perhaps you need to give Zwane and Shabalala more chances for that?" says mpahlani.
"This family business will end up with no fans and supporters soon and I will be very happy that time," says sandile7dube.
"Which team is not a family business?" replies abelmotaung50.
"Chiefs have not won any trophies in the last 9 years or so but still command a huge following at stadiums," says Rio Da Khosi.
