Junior Khanye's graduate bags similar move to Saleng

Junior Khanye has revealed that one of the players from his football academy has secured a big move to a Betway Premiership club. Here's a look!

The story

Through his organisation, the Junior Khanye Foundation, the former Kaizer Chiefs star established the Junior Khanye Football Academy in 2022.

The institution nurtures aspiring young footballers with the hope of facilitating a path to a professional career.

It now appears that the academy has produced its first major graduate, who is ready for his big break.

Khanye took to Facebook to announce that one of his players, Thembinkosi Soko, has been signed by newly promoted Betway Premiership side Orbit College.

"Congratulations to Thembinkosi 'Teri' Soko from our academy for signing with Orbit College Football Club," Khanye wrote.

"We are happy for him and would like to take this opportunity to thank Orbit College's management for giving our boy the opportunity."

At this stage, it is unclear whether Soko will be joining the senior team or will be involved with the DStv Diski Challenge side.

Nevertheless, this is a promising sign for Khanye’s academy, which can now proudly consider itself to have produced an alumnus competing at the highest level in South African football.
