Kaizer Chiefs forward Gaston Sirino has expressed his admiration for Mamelodi Sundowns’ standout performer, Lucas Ribeiro Costa.

In a recent social media post, Sundowns star Lucas Ribeiro shared a photo of himself and Chiefs forward Sirino enjoying time together at what appeared to be a restaurant.

Ribeiro's post, captioned; "We are rivals only on the field," seems to be highlighting the mutual respect between the two South American talents despite playing for rival clubs.
Sirino, a former Masandawana fan-favourite known for his flair and creativity, didn’t hold back in his praise for Ribeiro.
The Uruguayan forward hailed the Brazilian as the best Number 10 in the league, commending his remarkable form during the 2024/25 Betway Premiership season.
Ribeiro was a standout performer this season, scoring 16 goals and providing nine assists in just 27 league matches. His exceptional contributions have made him a front-runner for the PSL Player of the Season award.

More so, he also helped the Tshwane ginats reach the CAF Champions final, where they unfortunetely lost to Egyptian club Pyramids FC.
