With the next match scheduled to take place on Saturday afternoon at the Orlando stadium, Makaringe stated that he is proud of his side's effort, but noted that the job is still far from being done.
"I'm really proud of everyone's united effort and commitment," he wrote on Instagram.
"Grateful and grounded we remain for the performance but we know our project is far from being satisfied with a draw at home.
"We can only get 1% better if we continue working on it each everyday…"
Makaringe initially joined Pirates in July 2019, and parted ways with them to join CT City last month.
He made 147 appearances across all competitions, per Transfermarkt, and contributed with 10 goals and nine assists.
Now, he will be looking to help his new side make the final of this year's MTN8, even it means doing so at the cost of hi former club crashing out of the competition.
