In a Q&A with KickOff's Lukhanyo Mtuta, Kaizer Chiefs’ new signing Asanele Velebayi shared some interesting thoughts on fellow adidas athletes Lionel Messi and Mohamed Salah. Here's a look!
The story
Velebayi finally completed his move to Chiefs this week after an extensive administrative process with Cape Town Spurs delayed his transfer during the off-season.
The 22-year-old winger has now secured his dream move, one that has been in the pipeline for some time.
Before the transfer, Velebayi took part in a Q&A at an adidas event held in Clifton, Cape Town.

Lukhanyo: If you could join any of these three adidas-sponsored teams — Bayern Munich, Juventus, or Arsenal — who would you choose?
Velebayi: I would join Bayern. They dominate, they have history, plus they have top players.
Lukhanyo: Rate these African adidas athletes from best to worst: Mohamed Salah, Brahim Diaz, and Amad Diallo.
Velebayi: Salah is number one! Number two is Amad Diallo, and Brahim Diaz last.
Lukhanyo: Is it possible that Salah can become the next African to win the Ballon d'Or?
Velebayi: Very much possible!
Lukhanyo: Is there something you take from Salah's game?
Velebayi: Yes! His runs from behind, his one-v-ones. He's not only great at scoring but also at creating! Those are some of the things I take from him.
Lukhanyo: Pick one adidas player from these three in their prime: Lionel Messi, Jude Bellingham, and Lamine Yamal.
Velebayi: Messi! Forever and anytime!
