Al Ahly star Emam Ashour is smitten with the love of his life and it is worth noting that the two could just be one of the African Football League's power couples!
The story
Although footballers are often viewed as heroes, role models, sometimes as celebrities, or simply just athletes - they are also romantic beings who have wholesome lives away from the pitch.
Their partners, who are commonly referred to as 'WAGS' (wives and girlfriends of high-profile sports stars), tend to also make it into the limelight by virtue of their regular presence in the lives of their athlete spouses.
Case in point, many international football followers will know of Victoria Beckham but not for her career as a model and socialite but mostly for her association with her famous husband David Beckham.
WAGS are quite thing on the international football stage, as women like Georgina Rodriguez and Antonela Roccuzzo, who are the partners Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi respectively, are widely recognised by soccer fans despite not being athletes themselves. Another notable example of this is the singer, Shakira, who was in a long-term relationship with retired FC Barcelona defender Gerard Pique but their romance ended in acrimonious fashion 12 years later together.

Although far less publicised but WAGS are also quite a phenomenon is Africa, as the relationships of stars like Thembinkosi Lorch, Itumeleng Khune, and Bongani Zungu are well followed by entertainment publications.
Up in the north of the continent, another couple is quickly gaining traction and making a name for themselves as a power couple. Al Ahly's Ashour looks to be madly in love with his wife Yasmin Hafez. The pair tied the knot earlier this year in a gorgeous crystal white themed ceremony.
In a recent heartfelt message sent to the love of his life via an Instagram post, the 25-year-old midfielder poured his heart, saying: "Every year and you are good, the sweetest, the bravest, and the most precious Jasmine in the world, and the Lord of all ages happiness and goodness, and always together, and appreciate me and make you happy, the soul of my heart, may God keep you for me and never deprive me of you."
The scenes certainly speak for themselves, as the wedding aesthetics and decor looked on point thanks to its regal theme, stunning outfits, and fabulous venue.
