When Molefi Ntseki's appointment was announced, Mohammed Ouseb raised his voice in questioning the route that AmaKhosi were taking by experimenting with a coach who has never held a head role at a top tier league club.
Ouseb spoke without fear or favour and wasn't even aligning his opinion towards being partisan especially with Arthur Zwane's reign having failed to deliver on what is required at Chiefs.

After 13 games, red lights of concern are flashing all over the scene with Chiefs' line of results reading DLWLWWDDLLWLL.
"We have been here before which all started with the appointment of Arthur as head coach," Ouseb tells KickOff.com in relation to the experimental appointments at Chiefs.
Ouseb arrived at Chiefs from Namibia at the start of the 1998/99 season and spent three solid years delivering top performances that ultimately had him named the 1998/99 KICK OFF Footballer of the Season.
"I never thought that we would get something out of that (appointment of Zwane) but at the end of the day he needed the support from everybody which I believe he got.
"But the results were not coming, and it was very disappointing.
"I don't know what the guys in charge at Chiefs have in mind.
"Maybe what they are trying to do is something that us who are not directly involved don't know.
"Maybe the club is now developing a new culture.
"My biggest hope was that from coach Arthur to coach Ntseki things would change even though he wasn't new to the team and the structures.
"He knew what was happening, he knew the players because he was in touch with the happenings of the first team.
"So, I believed that there won't be much time needed for him to fit in and get the best out of the players, but it doesn't seem that is the case.
"The results are saying something different, and I thought with the good players that we brought in, we would be able to beat any team.
"Results are what bring out the confidence of that belief in the players.

"Chiefs is a big brand and maybe that is not being taken serious even though I expect that every player joining the club is informed about what it means to play for Chiefs.
"With the people that are on top and making the technical team appointments led by the head coach do they share the same information with the new players joining the team?
"It doesn't look like that.
"At Chiefs, you cannot appoint someone from development straight as a head coach.
"I don't know how they come to make such decisions.

"So far, they can see what is happening and they need to make changes because supporters are getting frustrated.
"Yes, it is wrong for them to react the way they did but at the same time maybe these players will give their best playing before empty seats since there is a fan ban looming.
"Maybe the players are now scared of the supporters but then until when are we going to sit and watch the decay happening.
"I was one of those who questioned the appointment (of Ntseki), but I still believe in giving people chances.
"Chiefs is now having results of a mid-table team which is not what Chiefs is about because this is a team that should be fighting for titles and sitting in the top three.
"My question is 'is the person controlling the players making them have the belief to bring out the best in him?'
"Do the players respect those guys or they are scared to come out and talk and tell what they feel about those appointments?
"I know that you cannot bite the hand that feeds you which is why it is only when players leave that they talk but we all can see what is happening.

"The way forward is to do the same thing that was done with Molefi and bring in Cavin Johnson because he is respected and has the experience.
"I have played against him and seen that he knows what he is doing.
"He was assistant to Pitso Mosimane and so if you can't appoint Pitso then appoint those that were working with him and coached at the highest level of club football.
"I believe a guy like Manqoba (Mngqithi) has the knowledge and has been there.

"Maybe they have been approached and said they are not interested to coach Chiefs.
"I don't think money is the problem at Chiefs because I know how well the club pays which is why I believe Chiefs can even bring someone from another country.
"I think the local coaches that have been at Chiefs haven't done argued the case of local coaches well.
"Another issue at Chiefs is that we can't only blame the technical team because the players are missing.
"I'm sure for now all we can do is hope for the best in the next match," details Ouseb.
