Cape Town City midfielder Mduduzi Mdantsane has been described as the perfect fit for Kaizer Chiefs in their bid to restore their former glory as the dominant force in South African football.
Mdantsane has reportedly already agreed terms on a three-year deal with Chiefs and will move to Naturena ahead of the 2023/24 season.

The 28-year-old has already been briefed about what will be required of him having sealed the deal just months after having had issues with the agent that he previously worked with.
He has been with City since January 2020 after a spell with Baroka where he announced himself to the professional ranks during the 2016/17 season.
He is a brilliant boy with a great mindset," Kgoloko Thobejane, the man who handed him his break at Baroka tells KickOff.

"With a boy like Mdu, I know he will make it and all he needs is to be given that chance which is game time.
"You can only see and understand what he is all about when he is on the field of play.
"Chiefs need a player like Mdantsane because even though he is not hard he is a box-to-box with the perfect work rate.
"In defending he comes deep fast and in attacking he moves into the opponents' box fast enough to even score goals because he is a good finisher and not shy in the box.
"With Chiefs, I think they will benefit from that.

"The issue is that as coaches we don't analyse the player the same way.
"At some stage, we compare players that are not comparable.
"They can play the same position, but they don't play similar football on the pitch.
"I say this because you must leave Mdantsane to be who he is to get the best out of him instead of limiting his influence.
"This thing happened with (Gift) Mothupa during his time at Wits where he wasn't appreciated for what he is best doing.
"If you know the capability of someone then you will appreciate them better as a player and they can deliver for you," says Thobejane who has only played fron start to finish only twice this season from 29 appearances.

"In my case, I don't have any doubts about Mdantsane but what is important is that he gets game time.
"If he plays, he will show you.
"What I have noticed with him at Cape Town is that his minutes are restricted, and I think that is why they are not enjoying the best of him.
"However, I understand that this is football, and we are different as coaches.
"For Mdantsane I insist on any day that he is a good player.
"A player like Mdantsane will assist Chiefs to win cups because his position is open.
"Right now, I don't see a player who can play like Mdantsane so that is why I say he is needed.
"If they have scouted him and signed him then they should use him right so that they benefit from having him," says Thobejane while then disclosing how they signed him.

"We played a friendly against Baberwa and after the game the chairman came to me to ask me about Matome Kgoetyane but then I also told him about the boy in midfield whose passes were all successful.
"It was then that we engaged those boys and back then we knew him as Jomo," says Thobejane.
