Kgaogelo Sekgota has been handed a reality check on developing an end product in attack following his transfer to Stellenbosch after an underwhelming spell at Kaizer Chiefs.
Sekgota has only scored three goals scored for all the four clubs that he has played for in South Africa since he returned from Europe in January 2020.

The lack of goals and assists in Sekgota's game were the main reasons behind his departure from Chiefs where he failed to register a goal and provided just two assists in 47 appearances.
The 27-year-old scored for Moroka Swallows after having also fired a blank for Bidvest Wits and is yet to get off the mark for Stellenbosch in four matches games to date.
"At times in football, you need to take one step back for you to take two steps forward," says Portuguese forward Zequinha, talking to KickOff.
Zequinha – who was once on the books of FC Porto and was capped at junior international level for Portugal – played alongside Sekgota at Vitoria Setubal in Portugal.

"However, we also need to be honest in assessing Kigi's situation.
"Did he play a lot of games last season at the big team? Did the team do well when he was playing?
"What did he do with all those minutes?
"He now needs to be more objective about how he plays his football.
"In football, you need to have goals and assists because people don't care about dribbles, they need goals.
"Maybe in South Africa they like this football of just dribbling which is why they go crazy when you dribble.
"But then what is important in global football is goals.
"Your statistics with assists and goals must make sense because this is what they always look at.

"I think he is understanding of his situation and the fact that with what has happened before he now needs a very good season to open other opportunities for himself.
"Football will never stop so you need to refresh your career when things are not going right for you.
"Game time is important and so it makes no sense to stay in a big team and not be playing.
"So, it is better that you go out to a medium or smaller team and play all the matches.
"I was at Porto but went on loan many times because I needed to play," says Zequinha.
