As the weeks turn into months of Khama Billiat going on without a new club in the aftermath of his departure from Kaizer Chiefs, questions have continued hovering about the value of the Zimbabwean.
Billiat's contract at Chiefs expired during pre-season at the end of June and he decided against the offer of an extension due to financial disagreements.

It is no secret that Billiat has been amongst the better paid footballers in the domestic game since making the switch from Mamelodi Sundowns to Naturena five years ago.
At Chiefs, Billiat's package reportedly floated around the R10 million per annum ranks thus leading to him coming under severe scrutiny as the club battled.
As is known the 33-year-old failed to lift silverware with Amakhosi – who have been mired in their longest trophy since their formation back in 1970.
Matters relating to his mental strength have been raised as he deals with the challenge of being without a club for the first time since he arrived in South Africa in 2010.
Facts of the matter show that while Billiat was pockets 'big money' during his time at Chiefs, his value was dropping for all the years that he wore the gold and black colours.
Transfermakt had his value at 2 million euros (approx. R40 million) upon arrival at Chiefs from Sundowns where his valuation was always on the up for all the five years that he spent at Chloorkop.
As a matter of fact, Billiat doubled his worth at Sundowns having been valued at 900 000 Euro (approx. R18 million) when he was snapped up from Ajax Cape Town just before he turned 23.
Billiat had been a shining star at Ajax delivering 24 goals and such was the transfer talk around him that he was linked with Europe before Sundowns used their financial muscle to lure him to Gauteng.
At Sundowns, trophies rained as he won seven with his influence evident on the field through all the five years that he was there.

Chiefs promised heaven but ended up in misery.
After maintaining his value for only his first season when he went up to double scoring figures at Chiefs, it has been mostly downhill from then.
It was only in the first half of the 2021/22 season that Billiat moved up after scoring six and assisting in another six during that period.
Billiat's value went from 1.3 million euro (approx. R26 million) to 1.4 million euros (approx. R28 million).
Ultimately from having arrived at Chiefs worth approximately R40 million, Billiat left at R13 million after failing to score at least a goal in single season for the first time in 13 years of playing in the PSL.
Worse is that while the man from Harare township of Mufakose is without a club, he has only been on the pitch for a minute in this calendar year (2023).
This means a further drop in value for Billiat.
