New signing Nkanyisa Shinga has opened up on his arrival at Kaizer Chiefs following the Toyota Cup match against Asante Kotoko.
The Soweto giants lost out on the Toyota Cup for a second consecutive season when they were beaten in their pre-season clash against Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko after the visitors won 4-3 on penalties.
The match had ended goalless at the Moses Mabhida Stadium.
Among them is Shinga, who joined Chiefs from the Portuguese side. The 24-year-old is a product of the KZN Academy and has spent seven years in Europe prior to his Chiefs move.

Speaking to SABC Sport on their match, Shinga opened up on his arrival and revealed some targets for the season.
"It's been good. The way they have received me.
"Since I got here, it feels like I'm home. It's different from previous times, when I would join a new team, it would take me time to adjust.
"But the way I have been welcomed in this team, I feel confident, I feel I can give more. It's been a dream to play for Chiefs, from the times of Masilela. It's been a dream. So I have to fight for this badge."

Shinga will face competition for a starting spot in the Amakhosi squad, with Bradley Cross and Happy Mashiane both vying for a spot.
"I can say there are many things [we want to improve]," Shinga added.
"Like we said, we want to try and play from the back and go forward, and understand each other. Have connections. Know where to pass when I have the ball, just understanding each other."
"But I think it will be a great season."
Chiefs now turn their attention to the Betway Premiership season to kick-off in August.
