The 21-year-old played in the CAF Champions League earlier this season at Vita were downed by Primeiro de Agosto having also excelled last season as Vita won the league.

With the hype around him, Mpanzu has been linked with a move away from the Congolese league with South Africa being mentioned as the next destination amid French and Belgian talk.

"For all the years that you have known me, have you ever heard me hyping any player?" asks Mbele, who is now working as the team manager at Vita Club.

"With the number of players that I have seen playing here in Congo since I started this job have you ever heard me hyping anyone.

"You know very well that I'm not easily won over by players so when I tell you that someone is good then you should know that I'm telling you the truth.

"I don't easily fall for any player but with this boy Elie I can stand here and declare that this is the best talent that I have seen here in Congo since I stopped playing.

"I'm not sugar coating here.

"I'm talking facts.

"I'm talking reality because I also played football at the highest level and when I see someone better than me, I must stand up and acknowledge.

"I'm not surprised there has been all this noise around the boy because he is just that good and must leave Congo as soon as possible.

"The boy is proper quality.

"Attacking.

"Dribbling, technique, power, and speed.

"I think he will be suited to playing for a club like Orlando Pirates or Kaizer Chiefs and I'm not surprised there is all this talk about him also going to France or Belgium.

"He is the perfect fit for Chiefs and Pirates.

"I played for Pirates so I can relate to what it takes to deliver at a club like that while I also have an admiration for Chiefs having played in the Soweto derby.

"So far, he has been getting recognition for the national team of local based players and will soon be in the main.
