Alexandre Gallo has been described by two fellow Brazilians who previously played in the DStv Premiership as being capable of reviving the fortunes of Kaizer Chiefs.
Chiefs have become a pale shadow of the club that they were sinking to nine years without winning silverware for the first time in their history.

At present, AmaKhosi are sitting with a caretaker coach in Cavin Johnson following the sacking of Molefi Ntseki.
The popular Soweto club have now been talking Gallo – who is currently working as the co-ordinator at Brazilian Serie A club Santos in Sao Paulo.
Gallo (56) worked under former Bafana Bafana coach Carlos Alberto Parreira at Corinthians and then won the Campeonato Brasileiro Serie A (Brazilian Championship) as assistant to Vanderlei Luxemburgo at Santos.
"I believe Gallo is a guy who can do a good job at Chiefs because he has worked at the highest level here in Brazil," says retired Brazilian defender Vinicius da Silva who played for Moroka Swallows.
"I have never worked with him, but his profile shows that the levels where he has coached are top level here in Brazil plus, he has been to Japan and the Middle East so leaving Brazil will not be new to him.
"Gallo is now on the brink of benefitting from being able to speak English which is what I always tell people here in Brazil including my daughter.
"Gallo has worked here in Brazil for a long time at esteemed clubs so has the experience to turn around the fortunes of Chiefs.
"If you saying Chiefs haven't been doing well, he might be the fresh breath that they need because a new broom always sweeps better.
"Why should be any doubts about him when he has worked at the top level here in Brazil?
"The Brazilian Serie A, Serie B, and Serie C where he has worked are top leagues plus, he has been in the Brazilian junior national teams.
"What you should also appreciate is that he also played at the top level as a holding midfielder.
"He will not have problems handling Chiefs and for him to come there will not be about the money but rather the stability of the place where he is getting the contract.
"The culture of coaching here in Brazil is so crazy that if you lose two games, they can get you back on the streets.
"It doesn't matter whether you have a five-year contract.
"At Chiefs, I don't think that will happen because it is a stable environment and he will earn in US dollars, which should be at least in the region of US30 000, which is good money.
"It will perfect for him to get money and be in a stable environment," says Da Silva.

Marcos 'Pepe' de Jesus, another Brazilian who played as a striker at Wits for two years was detailed in his response.
"Gallo is a good coach who is knowledgeable on the field.
"He was the coach of the Brazilian Under-17 and Under-20 teams before, so this is someone who has worked at national team level here in Brazil.

"For someone to have worked at national level tells you of the kind of coach he is.
"I have seen his work, and I can testify that he is a good coach and is currently working with Santos as the coordinator.
"Gallo knows how to talk to the players and organise them into a winning unit plus can listen to the players which is important," says De Jesus.
