'Casric will throw everything at favoured Chiefs'

Club legend Absalom 'Scara' Thindwa says Kaizer Chiefs should expect Motsepe Foundation side Casric Stars to throw everything at them.

Chiefs host the Mpumalanga-based outfit at FNB Stadium on Sunday.

"According to the experiences that I have, knock-out games are difficult to predict," Thindwa tells KickOff.

"The teams that are supposed to be small, normally raise their game because they want bonuses, and want to be seen by the likes of Chiefs.

"That's one thing Chiefs must guard against.

"Casric Stars have performed above themselves even in their league.

"Casric Stars have Sundra Govender, the former Kaizer Chiefs head of development as their technical director, so he knows Chiefs.

"Lastly, they are more direct Casric, they don't play like the other NFD teams.

"They play most of their balls in the 18 area. That's how they've been winning matches.

"Their head coach is Bucs Mthombeni, he is assisted by Paulos Masehe and Thabo Nthete.

"But for Chiefs the fact that they have won their last two games will motivate them.

"So, Chiefs is going to go through, but it's going to be very tough."
