Kaizer Chiefs have confirmed the exit of defender Bongani Sam, who leaves the club without a single competitive appearance.
The Soweto giants confirmed through their social media platforms on Thursday that the defender had been released.
Sam had joined Amakhosi at the start of the 24/25 season as head coach Nasreddine Nabi's first signing.

Prior to that, he had spent a season-long loan at Moroka Swallows on the back of another loan spell with then-Maritzburg United (now Durban City). He made 15 appearances for the Dube Birds.
The versatile left-back will look back bitterly on his season-long spell at Amakhosi, where he failed to make a single competitive appearance. Sam did represent Chiefs in several friendlies, including the Home of Legends Cup in November last year.
