Inside Manchester City's R3.6 billion training complex

Manchester City have built new headquarters in another audacious move to stamp their authority as one of the world’s top football clubs. Built on a larger tract of city council land previously home to a chemical production plant, the City Football Academy is the club's central hub for elite performance. All of Man City's 450-strong personal including players, coaches and staff will now work under one roof.

A bridge connects the Etihad Stadium to the training complex.

The complex has three fully equipped gyms. One of them has the slogan 'create the future' emblazoned on the wall.

A circular dressing room model has been installed to create an inclusive atmosphere for the players.

The academy has 16 pitches in total including a full-size synthetic indoor pitch.
