United and Mazembe could not be separated over two legs in their group stage match-ups, playing out a 2-2 draw in Lubumbashi before their goalless stalemate at the Lucas Moripe stadium on Tuesday.
The result left Mazembe and United tied in second position with six points on the standings, two points behind leaders Horoya.
Following the two draws, Mazembe's assistant coach Mwakasu labelled Matsatsantsa as one of the best teams in the competition who he feels can reach the CAF Confederations Cup final.
"SuperSport United is a good team," he said. "There is the possibility that they can go to final. I watched their games – I know SuperSport from a long time before, when they play against Don Bosco. They beat Don Bosco in Kinshasa before drawing here in South Africa.
"They don't play defensive football. They play all out, and play to win. I hope they apply the same mentality against Horoya. They might win and increase their chances of going to the final because they are good team.”
TP Mazembe are currently the CAF Confederation Cup defending champions, and despite lying second in Group D, Mwakasu believes his Congolese team will make it to the next stage of the competition.
"We want to go to final and maintain the legacy of TP Mazembe,” he said. “We want to keep the legacy of TP Mazembe going on.”
Mazembe next travel to CF Mounana, while SuperSport are in Guinea for their clash against Horoya on June 30.
