Thabo Rakhale says he has had to adapt to playing in the CAF Confederation Cup

Rakhale has started six matches and made six substitute appearances for Bucs, while also contributing three goals in the continental competition this season.

The former Polokwane City midfielder says playing in Africa has helped him mature in terms of his style of play.

"The football is totally different," Rakhale says in the latest edition of KICK OFF Magazine.

"In Africa it’s more tactical and teams are more physical, whereas at home teams want to play football on the ground.

"It wasn’t easy to adapt – for me personally – and I struggled in the match against FC Mounana away in Uganda.

"I wanted to play my football the way I do in the PSL, but things were difficult and I decided to change the way I play."

The 25-year-old goes on to speak about how he would prefer to lose the 'showboater' tag and help Pirates win silverware this season, while aslo adding that he appreciates supporters' constructive criticism.
