SuperSport lost 2-1 to the CAF Confederation Cup holders in the first leg of the final in Lubumbashi on Sunday.
Matsatsantsa will host the title decider at Lucas Moripe Stadium in Atteridgeville this coming Saturday.
"We put up a good performance in the opening 20 minutes and could have at least gotten a goal in the first half," Tinkler is quoted as saying by CAF.
"However, I am not too saddened by the result. I would rather go home with a 2-1 loss than a 0-0 draw because we have a goal advantage. It will not be easy at home but a solid game plan should give us the desired result."
Mazembe counterpart Phamphile Mihayo was likewise upbeat after the clash, backing the Congolese giants to get the job done in the rematch.
"We wanted to play well and win the game because we are home and needed to be offensive. Going to Pretoria will be difficult and they will pressurise us from the onset but we will have a plan that will give us the desired result.
"They are a very good side which isn’t easily broken down but we will have a good game plan."
