Ronwen Williams wary ahead of TP Mazembe clash

Matsatsantsa are unbeaten in their opening three games in Group D and sit joint-top of the standings following their well-fought 2-2 draw with the Democratic of Congo giants in their own back yard last time out.

The reigning Confederation Cup champions have won four of their last four encounters in their domestic league as they sit at the summit of the DRC Super Ligue, and Williams knows they will be eyeing revenge in Atteridgeville on Tuesday night.

"I am sure they are still disappointed because the game at their home ground, their fans turned against them and started cheering for us," Williams told reporters.

"Obviously that didn't sit well with them and they will come here and be eager to get one back over us.”

The continental encounter comes just four days ahead of SuperSport’s Nedbank Cup final against Orlando Pirates, and Williams feels the midweek match-up will give his side the edge ahead of the weekend.

"We are going to be rock solid,” he continued. “This is perfect preparation for us heading into this weekend's clash. We are just going to go out there and do our best.”

Kick-off at Lucas Moripe Stadium is set for 7pm.
