Dikwena secured a spot in the event after finishing third on the Absa Premiership log last season and as such have been afforded the opportunity to compete in Africa.
Stars general manager Senzo Mazingiza says there will be no half measures when it comes to the manner in which they approach the competition.
"We taking a competitive squad to the CAF competition. We will be approaching the tournament like we're playing Orlando Pirates," Mazingiza tells snl24.com/kickoff.
Meanwhile, Bidvest Wits are set to return to CAF competition after being beaten 7-3 by Azam of Tanzania in the Confederation Cup in March this year.
