Dikwena were awarded three penalties but still lost 4-2 to the Swazi giants in their Group B encounter at Somhlolo Stadium.
Mere says they will now be turning their attention towards their final league game of the season as they face SuperSport United, still in with a shot of reaching the top eight.
"[It was] one of those bad days at the office," Mere tells snl24.com/kickoff.
"We are very disappointed with the results but the effort from the boys was unquestionable, so we're going to put this game behind us and focus on our next game against SuperSport."
The veteran defender-cum-midfielder went on to say he accepts the defeat and refuses to blame the artificial pitch.
"No we lost, no excuses. Both teams played on the same pitch," says Mere.
The former Mamelodi Sundowns man says although they are rooted at the bottom of Group B, they still have a chance of reaching the next round of the competition.
"We don't see why we can't [reach next round], we have four more games to play and anything can happen," he adds.
