Orlando Pirates in Dubai en-route to Cairo for Al Ahly CAF Confederation Cup game

The Buccaneers squad touched down in Dubai a few hours ago for a stopover ahead of their connecting flight to Cairo overnight, with defender Happy Jele in the travelling party following his return from suspension.

Bucs coach Eric Tinkler will have Jele as an option again after he missed the 1-0 home win over Ahly in the first leg last week.

Jele is focused and knows that if Pirates remain disciplined and stick to their game-plan at a hostile Suez Army Stadium, they can come out victorious.

“We are going to Egypt knowing very well the obstacle that stands between us and reaching the final. We did well to not concede a goal in the first leg but there is still a lot to play for,” he told the Pirates website from OR Tambo ahead of their departure.

“Fortunately we have played in Egypt already so I don’t think intimidation is something we need to worry about, the only focus right now is our application on the field of play.”
