Lehlohonolo Majoro wants to see Bidvest Wits doing well in the CAF Confederation Cup

Last season’s Absa Premiership champions were knocked out on penalties in the Champions League by Angolan side Primeiro de Agosto, after the tie finished 1-1 on aggregate.

The defeat in the first round of the competition saw Wits dropping into the Confederation Cup and will play for a place in the group stages with Nigerian outfit Enyimba.

"I think each and every game is important, especially when we play against these African teams. It’s an opportunity to learn because you learn everytime you play," Majoro said.

"For us, it will be good to go all the way because we are representing the club and we must make sure we represent the brand nicely by going far in this tournament."

After winning the player of the month award for February, Majoro said that was the only way to thank coach Gavin Hunt for the faith he showed in him. Hunt signed the former Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates forward from Cape Town City.

"I have always heard from players that played under him [Hunt] that there is a lot of change and I have experienced that. He unleashes a different person in you.

"I believe that ever since I came here, I'm playing better football than I was playing before.

"I’m playing with a lot of confidence than I was before and I'm looking forward to each and every game we play.

"There is no better way to reward the coach that played you week in and out. This is only the beginning and the only way is to finish in a respectful position."
