The Absa Premiership title contenders will host the Tanzanian side at Bidvest Stadium, with kick-off at 18h00.
Wits are riding a six-game winless run, which includes a 9-0 aggregate rout of Lightstars in the preliminary round of the CAF event.
"The previous results have put us in a confident mood," Arendse told the club's website
"It is always nice and any player will tell you it is nice going into a game with a win behind you from the previous game. Whether it is a CAF game or not, the confidence is there. It gives the players on the fringes another opportunity to show what they can do and put themselves in the mix for selection."
Arendse feels it is important the Clever Boys do not concede on home turf against their little-known opponents.
"Last week they were involved in a top-of-the-table clash, and that tells you that they are challenging for league title honours. We wouldn’t expect anything less, however we do not know too much about what the Tanzanian-based side will be capable of on the day.
"We just have to make sure that we do what is necessary for us. That is what will be important that the players focus on those particular areas.
"The fact that we are at home in our first leg puts a little more added pressure on the team because we can not afford to concede any goals. We need to get on the score sheet at home – the players need to utilise that.
"We don’t know too much about what to expect when we travel to Tanzania for the second leg. My experience from traveling in Africa, it is going to be hostile, you have to deal with fans. The team has to mentally be stronger than their ability on the day when they are away from home."
