Sundowns beat VUT 2-0 in the Nedbank Cup last 16 in Atteridgeville on Sunday but Mosimane was not happy with the condition of the pitch at the stadium.
"So unhappy. It's unbelievable. It's our home game. No, how can you have long grass?" said Mosimane.
"It's a rugby pitch. The ball doesn't move. You didn't see the players trying to pull the ball and leave it behind and fall? You didn't see those accidents?
"It's too long, it's too heavy. The groundsman should not decide the length of the pitch [grass]. It works against us. We can't play Al Ahly on a long pitch like that.
"We have quick players, we have fast players. We need to move the ball quickly. If we can't we are playing against ourselves.
"I don't know. I have to speak to Sundowns and try to put the tractor I have at Chloorkop. It must come here. It must stay here."
Sundowns are due to jet out of the country today for their CAF Champions League quarter-final first leg against Al Ahly in Egypt on Saturday (18h00).
