Pitso Mosimane sends message to Al Ahly ahead of vital CAF Champions League clash

The defending African champions suffered a 1-0 defeat to Simba SC in their last group stage encounter, which has left the side in third spot.

Mosimane knows that only three points will do against AS Vita who thrashed Al-Merrikh 4-1 for their first win in Group A.

"The match will be very difficult, especially as we face a strong opponent, but we have a strong desire to win.

"Al Ahly need to win tomorrow, especially since the match being played at home, as well as our desire to compensate for the defeat against Simba.

"We will fight to win tomorrow, because Al Ahly is in dire need of a victory.

"Our hectic schedule will cause injuries, but Al Ahly is fully capable of dealing with these matters.

"All Al Ahly players are important to the team, and I have strong confidence in their abilities to achieve victories. I always strive to equip all players to face injuries, absences and various circumstances," he added.
