Milutin Sredojevic to avoid coming back to South Africa for CAF Champions League duty Zamalek Mamelodi Sundowns

All is set for the CAF Champions League draw in Cairo this afternoon.

Mamelodi Sundowns remain the only South African team to qualify for the group stages after Orlando Pirates were booted out of the continental competition by Zambian outfit Green Eagles.

The Brazilians have been placed in the same pot with Zamalek, Etoile du Sahel and USM Alger, meaning former Pirates coach Milutin Sredojovic could avoid travelling to South Africa again anytime soon.

Sredojovic left the country under a cloud of mystery following allegations of sexual harassment at a hotel in Johannesburg.

Zamalek will still have to qualify, however, after CAF ordered a replay of their first-round tie against Senegalese champions Generation Foot after recent controversy.

Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane recently complained about CAF's failure to publish each club's points to see where they stand in terms of pots before each draw.

"I don't know. I think you guys must ask CAF. I think CAF can speak to you. Ask them how do you accumulate points. They must publish the guys with more points so that you don't speculate," said Mosimane.

"This will help inform our people who is in pot A, who is in pot B, who is in pot C. Just like UEFA, you know already. You can't have Barcelona and Real Madrid in the same group, it's not easy."

CAF uses a rolling five-year ranking system to determine the pots for draws, based on points accumulated.
