Kaizer Chiefs star Lebogang Manyama is determined to add the elusive star to Amakhosi's badge with triumph over Al Ahly in the CAF Champions League final.
Chiefs are set to take part in the club's first-ever Champions League final on Saturday evening when the Amakhosi go head-to-head with Egyptian giants and reigning champions, Al Ahly, at the Stade Mohammed V in Casablanca, Morocco.
Speaking to the club's media team ahead of the clash, Manyama shared his view that the weekend's showpiece event is an opportunity for Chiefs to join the continent's elite with a historic victory over Pitso Mosimane's charges.
"...A final is a final. It's one game and it's about who wants it more on the day and I think we're quite ready for [Saturday]," the 30-year-old Bafana Bafana international said.
"We're just going to enjoy every moment of it because we've come a long way to be where we are. We should be very, very proud, but we want to go as far as taking [the trophy] and putting a star on our jersey.
"That would mean a lot because every Kaizer Chiefs fan deserves this after the rough times we've had without winning a trophy, and now all of a sudden, we're competing for the biggest one on the continent. We have to do this for the badge.
"The chairman deserves it for all the work that he has done for the club, to put the club where it is, to push through during those tough times. He also deserves something, and nothing will be better than putting a star on the badge, on the shirt that he created.
"We have to try and put everything into it and try to win it for the chairman and the fans and everyone associated with Kaizer Chiefs, and obviously for ourselves as well because this is a huge moment and these kinds of things will stay with you forever.
"These chances don't come every day, so you've got to make the most of it, but most importantly we have to enjoy the moment. We are here and we can only control what we have to do on the day and I'm sure we're ready for it.."
