Kaizer Chiefs: Wydad AC coach Faouzi Benzarti makes huge decision ahead of second leg tie

In the wake of their shock 1-0 defeat at the hands of Kaizer Chiefs in their first leg CAF Champions League semi-final last Saturday, the experienced tactician has made a huge call.

The league leaders will rest 10 of their starting eleven that faced Amakhosi in Casablanca when they take on the reigning Confederation Cup champions at the Stade Municipal de Berkane this evening.

Benzarti made the bold decision on Sunday, despite only holding a three-point lead over fierce rivals Raja Athletic Club, WAC will take the risk in order to boost their chances of overcoming Chiefs.

On Sunday, the first team received special physiotherapy sessions and have also been granted extra days rest this week in order to be well-rested before their long trip to Johannesburg.

Chiefs hold a crucial away goal advantage ahead of the second-leg tie scheduled for Saturday afternoon at FNB Stadium (18h00).
