Kaizer Chiefs' most-used XI in the 2020/21 CAF Champions League

With Kaizer Chiefs set to face Al Ahly in the CAF Champions League final this weekend, here is a look at the Amakhosi's most-used XI in the competition this season.

One of the most hotly-contested positions in the Chiefs' lineup is the goalkeeping role where Itumeleng Khune, Daniel Akpeyi and Bruce Bvuma have all starred for the club in the Champions League.

Of those three, Khune and Akpeyi have both featured six times each in the famous gold and black strip but it is the former who narrowly emerges on top due to him seeing five minutes more action in the competition during the 2020/21 campaign.

Khune stands in goal behind a five-man defence that consists of Reeve Frosler and Philani Zulu on the flanks and three centre-backs in the middle, in the form of Erick Mathoho, Daniel Cardoso and Siyabonga Ngezana, the latter of whom has played a club-high 1102 minutes this season.

Njabulo Blom occupies a deeper role in midfield after spending 955 minutes on the pitch, while Lebogang Manyama, Nkosingiphile Ngcobo and Bernard Parker feature further forward behind Samir Nurkovic, who operates as the lone striker.
