Chiefs remain the only club of the PSL's 'big three' without a star above their crest, which comes with winning the CAF Champions League.
The Glamour Boys are potentially just 90 minutes away from lifting the premier continental trophy, with a once-off final against nine-time champions Al Ahly on Saturday standing between them and wiping away all the ridicule they have endured in recent years.
"To our fans, we promise that we will come back with the star," Bvuma declared ahead of the team's departure for Casablanca, Morocco on Wednesday.
The rising shot-stopper has played three of Chiefs' last four games in this competition, keeping two clean sheets but conceding three goals away at Simba.
"I am happy to have gotten the opportunity to play for Kaizer Chiefs and be able to be part of the team to play against Al Ahly in the final. As we all know, the Champions League is a big competition here in Africa.
"Being here is a career uplifter and this is what I want after all, because every player wants to grow in their career. In being in this final, my CV will also improve. For a team like Chiefs this is a competition that we should be playing every year. Our hope is to win the trophy.
"We know what we are up against in playing against Al Ahly because they are a team that dominates in the Champions League.
"In meeting [in the final], we are aware that they are one of the best and in being one of the best we have to perform against them in the final. It is important that we raise our game and perform playing against the defending champions."
