CAF Champions League: Zamalek SC vs Raja Casablanca second leg semi-final postponed

Zamalek secured a 1-0 over the 2019/20 Botola champions last Saturday to hold a crucial away goal advantage for the return leg in Cairo this week.

But after the game, the Raja squad, already depleted by coronavirus cases, were instructed by the Morocco Healthy Ministry to quarantine for 14 days after nine positive cases were recorded after their mandatory testing process.

As a result, the Moroccan giants requested a fixture postponement to CAF due to their inability to travel to Egypt this week which has now been accepted after a unanimous decision amongst the Emergency Technical Committee.

snl24.com/kickoff understands that new dates between 30 and 31 October have been discussed while the fixture will likely to be played behind closed doors without any media representation as was the case in Casablanca last week.

The winner of the tie will face either Al Ahly or Wydad Casablanca, who are scheduled to face off on Friday evening at the Cairo International Stadium.
