TP Mazembe qualified for the group stages of the CAF Champions League after beating Fosa Juniors of Madagascar 3-1 in the second leg of thier first-round tie Saturday afternoon in Lubumbashi.
Chico Ushindi got the early goal for Mazembe in the tenth minute before Santatra Andriamamonjy equalised for the Malagasy side a minute before the break.
Ushindi restored the lead for Mazembe 11 minutes after the break to complete his brace while Fabrice made it 3-1 five minutes later from the penalty spot.
Gor Mahia 0-2 USM Alger (1-6 agg.)
USM Alger booked their spot in the CAF Champions League group stages after cruising to a 2-0 victory over Gor Mahia in the second-leg clash on Sunday afternoon at Moi International Sports.
Aymen Mahious got two early goals for the visitors which was enough to secure the win on the night.
AS Vita Club 1-0 ASC Kara (1-0 agg)
Congolese outfit, AS Vita Club qualified for the CAF Champions League group phase after edging ASC Kara of Togo 1-0 in the second-leg on Saturday afternoon at Stade des Martyrs.
After a goalless first-leg, the game was on the edge in Kinshasa, as Merveille Kisasa's goal for Vita from the penalty spot on the stroke of halftime decided the tie.
