Since joining Ahly from CS Sfaxien in 2016, Maaloul has enjoyed a trophy-laden spell with the club having won the Egyptian Premier League title four times, two Egypt Cups, two Egyptian Super Cups and the 2019/20 CAF Champions League crown.
Remarkably, the Tunisia international has worked under nine different managers during his time in Egypt, including incumbent boss Mosimane, and he has revealed that the South African coach is one of his favourites.
"I don't want to wrong any of them as they were all good, but I would choose Patrice Carteron, Martin Lasarte and Pitso Mosimane. As for [Rene] Weiler, he was very difficult and an incomprehensible character."
