Hunt: The biggest worry for Bafana

Bafana Bafana recorded their biggest margin of victory at the AFCON tournament after dismantling Namibia 4-1 but SuperSport United head coach Gavin Hunt has warned about where they need to improve.

Bafana clinched their biggest-ever win at the Africa Cup of Nations, slightly doing better than the 4-1 thrashing of the same side in 1998.

A brace by Themba Zwane and goals from Percy Tau and Thapelo Maseko revived South Africa's chances of reaching the last 16, as they went up to second in Group E, equal on points with the Brave Warriors, who are third, but Hugo Broos' charges have a better goal difference.

Looking ahead of Bafana's last group game against Tunisia on Wednesday, Hunt explained what would be the biggest worry for South Africa.

"Tunisia are much more stronger, much more methodical, much more keeping their shape, they gonna get balls in the box in good areas, our full-backs will have to be better," Hunt said on SuperSport TV

"There was not much pressure on them (against Namibia). They are gonna have to be better defensively to help the two centre halves.

"The biggest worry for South Africa is our striker (Evidence Makgopa), he's doing the job, he's helping us defensively but we need a little bit more out of him, if we can have him facing goal more, this is not easy but he's doing a good job," he said.

"We can't just rely on one or two, we need our striker to start scoring," he added.

Tunisia will be in a must-win game against Bafana, as they have only one point at the bottom of Group E after losing to Namibia in their opener and drew against Mali.

The last group games will be played simultaneously, as the Brave Warriors will be up against the Eagles also at 7pm on Wednesday.
