The Sundowns co-coach had criticised the lack of communication from the Bafana Bafana camp and training methods with several players returning injured.
"We don't get training feedback in relation to the [player training] load, there's no data," Mokwena said.
"So the cooperation with Bafana frustrates us a little bit. Because as Mamelodi Sundowns we are the first to always over the years have shown willingness to support the nation.
"It's just disappointing that now for the last couple of international breaks we see our players coming back with injury complications.
A flabbergasted Broos hit out at Mokwena deciding to criticise the national team publicly while dismissing his claims.
"I will not comment on the remarks of Mr Mokwena," Broos as saying on SuperSport show PSL Now.
"I'm very surprised by his comments, you don't do that in the media, certainly when it comes to a colleague.
"If Mr Mokwena is frustrated, he can take the phone and call me and ask some explanations but you don't do it via the media. This is not appropriate I think when you are colleagues.
"If there is something that bothers him, please phone me and I will explain to him what happens.
"I'm really surprised that he said he wasn't informed about the injury of Mvala. We sent the whole medical file to the head of the medical staff at Sundowns, so he knows everything."
This continues an ugly war of words between the two camps after the straight-talking 69-year-old Broos had accused Sundowns of complicating his team selection by initially scheduling Thabiso Kutumela to undergo his Covid-19 vaccination jab during the international window.
