Pitso Mosimane targets FIFA Club World Cup title for Al Ahly

Mosimane guided the Red Devils to a historic treble last season with the Egypt Cup and CAF Champions League success added to Rene Weiler title success.

Now he's aiming to build on their momentum by securing a clean sweep with the Egypt and CAF Super Cup titles as well as the 2020 FIFA Club World Cup.

The former Bafana Bafana could face up to the likes of European champions Bayern Munich but is not daunted by the ambition of helping Ahly become the first African side to win the coveted title.

"Any team that qualifies for the Club World Cup dreams of winning the title, and it is a legitimate dream, but in reality it is difficult," Mosimane said after leading the Club of the Century to a record 18th group stage qualification.

"No African team has ever won it, but it is possible that we will be the first to achieve it. Our goal is to win the African and Egyptian Super Cup.

"We want to get the five [trophies], which is what we are working for and it will be a very wonderful thing for this generation of players."

Mosimane's next fixture will see the Egyptian Premier League champions take on newly-promoted Ceramica Cleopatra at the New Suez Stadium on Friday (19h30).
