The 26-year-old Atalanta defender produced an excellent display in Die Mannschaft's 4-2 win over A Selecao, grabbing a goal and two assists, and also seemingly managed to settle a personal score he had with the Juventus star.
During the 2020/21 Serie A campaign, Gosens was apparently snubbed by Ronaldo when he asked for the superstar's shirt after a match.
"After the final whistle, I went up to him, I didn't even go to the fans to celebrate. I asked him: 'Cristiano, can we swap shirts?' He didn't even look at me and just said 'no'.
"I was totally red[-faced] and embarrassed. You know that moment when something embarrassing happens to you and you look to see if someone has noticed? I felt like that and tried to hide."
His Atalanta teammates ended up buying him a Ronaldo jersey as a joke following his "embarrassing" moment, but the Germany star finally got some revenge on the weekend, saying: "This time I didn't ask for his shirt."
Gosens scored 11 goals and assisted another six strikes in 32 Serie A outings for Atalanta last season.
