Netherlands recorded a 2-0 win over Austria to advance to the last 16 of EURO 2020 on Thursday evening.
Matthijs De Ligt, who missed the opener against Ukraine, returned as the Netherlands's only change whereas Austria saw Marko Arnautovic out with a one-game ban for insulting another opponent.
Memphis Depay handed Holland the lead through a cool finish from the penalty spot on ten minutes after the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) penalised David Alaba for a foul on Denzel Dumfries.
Austria struggled to get a foothold before the half-hour mark, as Depay threatened a brace with a first-time strike on the near side that cracked the side-netting.
Depay was on the end of another chance to add to his and his side's tally closer to halftime from a cutback in the six-yard area from Wout Weghorst, but he fired over.
The Netherlands continued to provide danger to the Austrians in the second half, with a low snap shot from outside the area by Georginio Wijnaldum.
De Ligt missed a big chance right in front of goal 20 minutes following the restart from a loose ball right inside the six-yard area following a corner-kick by Depay.
Three substitutions from the Dutch midway in the second stanza had Nathan Ake, Owen Wijndal and Donyell Malen coming on.
Malen made an instant impact after he charged onto a flick on from Depay to go clear and unselfishly release Dumfries to do the rest with a calm side-footed finish.
Austria pushed for a consolation in the latter stages through a left-footed strike from range by Alaba and a first-time header from Karim Onisiwo, but to no avail, as the result saw the Dutch snatch back-to-back wins in Group C and joined Italy and Belgium in the knockout stages.
Belgium secured passage to the last 16 of Euro 2020 with a come-from-behind 2-1 win over Denmark on Thursday evening.
Denmark were quick on the front foot as Yussuf Poulsen took a ball from Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg in his stride to beat goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois with a low finish.
A tenth minute applause from both sets of players and from the huge crowd came in memory of Eriksen following the player's recent unfortunate circumstances regarding his playing career.
Roberto Martinez's side continued to stay on the back-foot soon from the half-hour mark as Mikkel Damsgaard slotted a low shot inside the area wide of range after working an angle.
As such, a substitution came from Belgium right following the commencement of the second half as Kevin De Bruyne came on for Dries Mertens.
The Red Devils were all square on 55 minutes after Romelu Lukaku made a fantastic surging run to play in De Bruyne, who in-turn feed Thorgan Hazard to tuck in from close-range.
De Bruyne turned the game around with 20 minutes to go as he charged onto the end of a flowing passing move between Lukaku, Youri Tielemans and Eden Hazard to bulge the back of the net.
Martin Braithwaite almost though spoiled Belgium's party in the last three minutes with a pin-point header in the area following a cross from the right-side, but he struck the woodwork as Belgium did enough to secure a spot in the next round.
