AmaZulu question Dolly Man of the Match award

Pablo Franco Martin has questioned the awarding of Keagan Dolly as Man of the Match after his AmaZulu side secured a 1-0 win over Kaizer Chiefs in the Carling Knockout Cup at FNB Stadium on Saturday.

The impressive Taariq Fielies proved the match-winner after scoring the decisive goal in the 88th minute as Chiefs crashed out of yet another competition.

However the fan-voted Man of the Match award, with a huge R100 000 prize was surprisingly awarded to Chiefs attacker Keagan Dolly.

"I was expecting one of our players to get the Man of the Match award," a surprised Martin told SuperSport TV post-match.

"But, it is good to see Dolly back."

Martin was also delighted that his side kept a clean-sheet alongside spreading the goalscoring burden across the team.

"Right now our midfielders and defenders are scoring more than our strikers," Martin added.

"This speaks well about the team. When you keep a clean sheet it is not only about the goalkeeper and defenders.

"The defenders are helping the strikers. I am very happy, this is what a real team is."
