AmaZulu in 'high spirits' ahead of Chiefs clash

Defender Wayde Jooste insists the spirit at the AmaZulu camp is 'very high' ahead of a DStv Premiership encounter against Kaizer Chiefs on Saturday.

Usuthu will travel to Gauteng for the four-match of the season and will not only be looking for their first win but a first goal since the start of the season.

However, the Durban-based outfit will draw confidence from their 4-0 hammering of Chiefs the last time the two teams met.

Additionally, Usuthu can capitalise on Amakhosi's poor start to the season, having lost two of their first three matches.

"I think the mood is still the same since our first game," Jooste to the club's media.

"We can take a lot of positives from the three games we have played. We haven't conceded a goal, we haven't lost and we are going into Saturday's game with a very high spirit. The guys (players) are ready and we are preparing very well.

Jooste is among a host of new faces at AmaZulu, alongside Rowan Human, Victor Letsoalo and Celimpilo Ngema among others.

"From the first day that I saw that I don't feel like outside or like you said I've played against the guys before I've been with some other guys before as well so it hasn't been such a big transition for me yeah like I said the guys have been very welcoming and I'm very excited for the season."

AmaZulu's match against Chiefs will be played at FNB Stadium. Kick-off is at 17:30.
