AmaZulu coach pins scoring hopes on returning striker

AmaZulu head coach Pablo Franco Martin is hoping striker Sere Junior Dion will solve the club's goal-scoring crisis having recently resumed training following an injury.

Usuthu have scored just one goal in their opening five DStv Premiership matches – the lowest return by a team in the top flight.

However, Martin is throwing one more dice at returning striker Dion.

"He (Sere Junior Dion) is training fully with the team now, we're really happy. One of the players we were missing from the beginning of the season," Franco Martin told the AmaZulu website.

"He couldn't play any official game even in part of the pre-season, he was already injured. He was the [club's] top-goal scorer last season especially if you see the number of games he played.

"We hope he can be with the team in the official games from the next one and help us to score those goals as well."

The Durban-based is sitting on 14th  on the DStv Premiership table and will be looking for only their second win of the season when they meet Cape Town City at Moses Mabhida Stadium.
