Bafana Bafana coach Melofi Ntseki has confirmed a blow for one of the team's stars ahead of their second Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Sudan.
Bafana are set to host Sudan in their second 2021 AFCON Group C qualifier at Orlando Stadium on Sunday afternoon (15h00), less than 72 hours after going down to Ghana in Cape Coast on Thursday evening.
Ntseki was dealt a disruption that proved costly to his initial tactical plan, when midfielder Bongani Zungu was forced off through injury in the opening 25 minutes of the match.
The France-based midfielder, who withdrew from the squad to face Mali in the Nelson Mandela Challenge in PE last month, has since been dealt another blow after being ruled out of this weekend's clash on home soil.
"Everyone that we have in this camp will still be available for Sunday, except for Bongani Zungu, who got a knee injury," confirmed Ntseki.
Kamohelo Mokotjo, who was left out of the squad in Cape Coast due to fitness concerns, is expected to become available and could possbly slot into central midfield in Zungu's absence.

Bafana are set to return to Johannesburg's OR Tambo International Airport on Friday evening (17h05), with the former Mamelodi Sundowns star set to undergo further tests to determine the exact extent of his injury.
The team will then hold their only training session ahead of Sunday's encounter on Saturday afternoon, with Ntseki confident they have enough ammunition to bounce back from their 2-0 defeat to the Black Stars and beat the Falcons of Jediane.
"I think in the qualifiers, you'll always have those situations where some of the teams in your group will win and you'll end up losing matches," he added.
"But I think we prepared the team very well for the back-to-back clashes, fully aware that we are playing the first match in Ghana and the second in South Africa.
"We selected a balanced team, and we are looking forward to playing the best team on Sunday and do well for ourselves and win the match."
