The left-back has only made one appearance for Chelsea this season, which was a substitute cameo against Barrow in the Carabao Cup.
Chilwell arrived at Chelsea from Leicester City back in August 2020, and he has since won three trophies at the club: the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Super Cup, and FIFA Club World Cup.
His €50.2 million (R972 million) move to Stamford Bridge still makes Chilwell the third most expensive defender in Chelsea's history, behind Wesley Fofana and Marc Cucurella, according to Transfermarkt.
