Kaizer Chiefs’ next opponents have appointed a new manager ahead of this coming weekend’s game.
Having concluded their tour of the Netherlands, Chiefs are set to play another pre-season friendly — this time on home soil against Asante Kotoko.
The Soweto giants will face the Ghanaian heavyweights in the 2025 Toyota Cup on Saturday, 26 July, at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban.

With less than a week to go, Asante Kotoko have announced the appointment of a new manager, Abdul Karim Zito.
Asante confirmed via their official Facebook page: "We are pleased to confirm the appointment of Abdul Karim Zito Kabutey as our new head coach for the next two years."
Reports in Ghana suggest that Zito initially served as the club’s interim coach midway through last season, and he has now been promoted to permanent head coach.
His first task in charge will be the game against Chiefs later this week.
Meanwhile, Asante Kotoko also announced on their official website that they will host a charity initiative with Chiefs on Wednesday.
The club wrote: "As part of build-up activities ahead of the highly anticipated Toyota Cup on July 26, 2025, Asante Kotoko Sporting Club and South African giants Kaizer Chiefs will embark on a special outreach programme at the KNUST Basic School in Kumasi on Wednesday, July 16 at 10:00 AM.
"The event, aimed at fostering unity and inspiring the next generation of footballers, will feature interactive sessions with pupils and staff, football drills, and motivational talks.
"Joining the Chiefs delegation will be legendary South African striker Nomvethe Siyabonga Eugene, alongside other top executives of the club.
"This outreach forms part of the broader promotional activities leading to the Toyota Cup clash at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban."
